These terms explain the deal between you and Spendhog: what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you in return.
01Agreement to these terms
By creating a Spendhog account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are using Spendhog on behalf of your household, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for the members you invite.
02What Spendhog is
Spendhog is a personal-finance tool that helps you record, understand and forecast your household's spending. It brings accounts, budgets, transactions, members and forecasts into one place so you can make decisions with context.
03Not financial advice
Spendhog gives you information about your own money, including forecasts and comparisons. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and forecasts are estimates, not guarantees. You remain responsible for your financial decisions.
04Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for the activity of the members you invite. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use Spendhog.
05Early access and pricing
Spendhog is in early access and is still improving. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial. The first 30 households can continue for CHF 8.99/month (or CHF 79.90 a year) after the trial and keep that price for as long as their subscription stays active. After the first 30 spots, the normal price of CHF 10.99/month (or CHF 99.90 a year) applies. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
06Acceptable use
Use Spendhog for its intended purpose. You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights while using the service;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to Spendhog;
- upload content you do not have the right to use, or that harms others.
07Your data
The financial data you add stays yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and process it so we can provide the service. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.
08Availability and changes
We work to keep Spendhog available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, especially during early access. We may add, change or remove features, and we will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
09Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Spendhog is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, where Spendhog is operated, and the courts at our Swiss domicile have jurisdiction. If you use Spendhog as a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory protections of the law of your home country, or your right to bring a claim before the courts there where that law allows.
11Contact and updates
We may update these terms as Spendhog evolves. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in the app. If you have any questions, get in touch and we will be glad to help.
